Dear Friends,Pearl here, takin' a break from Meter Maidin', pulled over to the side of the road eatin' a bowl of Ramen Noodles and bloggin' on my laptop.
Because I am a modern woman I have decided on this day, December 7th, 2009, to be the first citizen of Dupont, Mississippi to embrace the 21st century and all that technological stuff. I gave my Betamax and Atari 64 to the community center at the Depressin' Acres Trailer Park; lotta good that'll do 'em, but hey - don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Especially if it's electronics from 1981.
We are in the midst of performing our annual Merry Christmas Christmas Program For Christmas at the First United Congregational Sheperd of the Flock Baptistical Church, and I sure hope y'all come, 'cause it's gonna be good whenever Estelle isn't singin'.
